May and June Tour

opening for Ray Bull

This May and June, we’ll be opening for Ray Bull all across the country. Come see us play! We’ll be playing new music with some more announcements coming soon — keep your eyes peeled ;)

I covered Ray Bull’s new song “Marry a Skater” yesterday afternoon on the piano as the light was shifting. I’m wearing a mohair halter top I knitted, reveling in the warmth of this new season. We had a major thunder storm last night. Ryan and I played cards with our friend as the sky flashed. The intermittent claps of thunder brought Woody our dog shaking into Ryan’s lap. He slept next to us all night. I love my home and my pets. I also love to tour. I love the balance of the both. Really looking forward to seeing you all out there in this big, bad world of ours. Music is magic. I remind myself that when I listen, when I sing, when I feel the thunder through the table as I slap a card down (yes, I won the game).

The crocuses, daffodils, and forsythias have bloomed over the past few days in succession. Usually spring ignites a bit of a panic in me but this year I feel the panic like an engine starting, like a cup filling with water. This year, I’m ready to thaw.
